In a rather peculiar twist of events THQ have sued licensing partner Jakks Pacific over their decision to extend the video game license they both held with WWE for another five years. The WWE licensing rights has been the root to a number of legal battles the last couple of years and it seems obvious THQ wants out. With the success of THQ's recent UFC game it may very well be that THQ will focus their efforts on mixed martial arts as sales of wrestling games have taken a tumble in the last few years. It remains to be seen what comes of the legal proceedings, but its obvious that THQ have little interest in doing WWE games for another five years.
