Travian Games has today announced it has snapped up a majority stake in emerging development studio Bright Future.
Travian Games had a strong year in 2011 and capped it off with the acquisition of Bright Future; representing their biggest addition to date. The publisher already has a string of successful games under its belt (including Battlemons, Imperion and Travians) and now look forward to adding Bright Future's Miramagia to their portfolio.
Gerald Köhler, CEO of Bright Future GmbH, said: "We have found Travian Games to be a fair and reliable partner during over one and a half years of cooperation. Their carefully thought-through strategy has enabled them to excel in the hard-fought browser game market."
Travian Games CEO Florian Bohn added: "We are very happy to welcome Bright Future, one of the best-known development studios in the German games industry, to the growing Travian Games family. In recent years, they have published some excellent quality and extremely successful products."
