Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been a hot topic in recent months and there have been many headlines about all the drama that allegedly took place during filming. Things like Jason Momoa coming to work drunk, Amber Heard's role being saved by Elon Musk and people leaving during test screenings of the film.
But it's all bullshit according to James Wan and in a interview with Empire, the director took the opportunity to deny all the nasty rumours.
"I've had to learn to be more Zen in dealing with all the noise around me, for sure. I'm a pretty private person. I don't get on social media and have fights, but it's difficult because this narrative has emerged that is not the reality. The noise is fun to write about, and it gets clicks, but people don't know the truth."
Wan also commented on all the alleged reshoots that are said to have taken place, saying:
"We probably did seven or eight days of reshoots, which is nothing for a movie of this size. It was just spread out because it's so hard to get your actors back once you've finished the initial shoot."
The director also touched on the possibility of a third Aquaman film, something he doesn't rule out becoming a reality one day.
"I haven't directed a third movie in a series before, so I'd be open to doing another Aquaman if I got the same freedom I've had on these first two. I'm not sure what direction Gunn and Safran are going in, though, so who knows? I've learned to never say never."
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opens in cinemas on 20 December.
Do you believe what Wan tells you, are all the rumours pure nonsense?
