The world's fastest electric car has just proven itself to be an absolute speed demon, as it managed to go from 0-100 km/h in 0.956 seconds.
The old record was 1.46 seconds, and was conquered by students in Zurich. Their car weighs 140kg and there's an electric motor in each wheel which helps it reach its incredible power. A total of 326 horsepower runs through this machine, making it incredibly fast when you look at its weight and horsepower ratio.
Obviously, this car isn't recommended for those just wanting a leisurely drive, but it continues to be impressive just how advanced the electric car game is getting. Check out the feat in the video below.
