It has been revealed women working within the UK games industry earn as much as £1.50 an hour less than their male counterparts.

The figures come from MCV's yearly salary survey and showed that on average men earn £33,088, where women only take home an average of £30,254.

In the annual survey, the trade website canvassed 975 industry execs, and revealed that against a global trend toward women being better paid, the UK games industry rewards its male professionals better.
