Future Publishing has announced the appointment of Richard Keith as Publisher for magazines Edge, PC Gamer, Official Xbox and Xbox World.
James Binns steps down after 18 years at Future. He said: "Over all that time I wouldn't change a thing... apart from switching from Left4Dead to Left4Dead 2 sooner."
Richard Keith is an industry veteran with a wealth of experience at the company. He briefly left Future in 2010 and set up The Games Tribe, described as: "an incubator for independent games sites."
There has been a general decline of magazine sales for companies like Future over the years, only time well tell if this trend is reversible or not. In this challenging environment, Richard Keith takes over a strong portfolio of publications, and it will be interesting to see what he does with them.
