Over the weekend of March 17 and 18, the University of Hull will play host to Platform 2012. The digital gaming and entertainment event hopes to attract 10,000 visitors with its "unique combination of education, business and fun."
Speakers at the event include Charles Cecil, MBE, of Revolution Games, Mark Estdale of OM, the UK's most experienced dialogue production team working with video games, and Louis Harwood of leading independent app development company Avalore Studios.
To entertain visitors there is to be a Black Ops event, a Cosplay hall and a retro gamer section.
The event aims to generate careers for young people and budding entrepreneurs in the global digital gaming and entertainment industry by: "demonstrating that there is great amount of expertise out there to help them create successful enterprises."
