There are reports coming out that indicate id Software has restructured their developmental team since the release of their FPS Rage last year.
The studio, now under the Bethesda umbrella (and so owned by ZeniMax), explained to Gamasutra that: ""As part of its standard business practice, id regularly evaluates staffing to ensure it has a workforce that meets the needs of the studio. As part of that process, some id employees were recently let go."
They later added that: "id is still recruiting and hiring qualified developers, and development work on future id titles continues unabated."
It is not clear just how many employees were affected by this restructuring, but from the looks of it this is was a minor move and nothing more sinister than a reshuffle. It also shouldn't have any effect on id's next release; Doom 4.
