A new slot car racer from Slot Mods in Detroit, Michigan has been sold for over $200,000 at auction. Housed in the body of a replica Porsche 917, as seen in the 1971 movie Le Mans, the slot car track is modelled after the racetrack that appeared in the film.
Coming with 19 slot cars, as well as a hefty price tag, it's clear this isn't for the average consumer, but if you want a closer look at the 917 chassis and the track inside it, check out the video below.
The car that the track is housed in will grab the eyes immediately, but there are a tonne of extra details that slot car racers will enjoy, like the assorted miniature figurines cheering you on from the stands, and the corporate logos on the side of the tracks, representing those that appeared in the 1971 movie Le Mans.
