The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is already a million seller

And it's getting really good reviews, not too bad for what essentially was an April Fool's joke...

Sega had a different April Fool's joke this year as they launched a game called The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog on Steam. While it's certainly not canon, it was still a surprisingly entertaining murder mystery where Sega killed off their main mascot, Sonic.

And this was clearly highly appreciated by the community. Sonic's social media manager Katie Chrzanowski reveals on Twitter that it's now officially a million seller, just a few days later after the release. And the good news doesn't stop there as "it's currently the #61 highest rated game on Steam of ALL TIME".
