Two weird videos have been making the rounds during the weekend, suggesting a new IP from Ubisoft, potentially called Hero. It could also be one of those old things people leak right before E3 to get some attention, but we'll find out either way in a week's time.

Both clips, spotted by industry rumor hound Superannuation and naturally removed afterwards (though you can see them now on AGB), presented little detail on Hero's possible game premise or mechanics, and are likely concept reels or sound demos over storyboards. The Vimeo user who posted them has been linked to other high-profile game trailers' sound department.

The videos showed modern-dressed people wielding swords and axes, and some sort of secret ring-bearing super-heroes alliance who enter a medieval-ish championship.

So, could Hero be one of Ubisoft's upcoming big announcements for E3? After Infamous: Second Son's great success, and with the ever-growing trend for super-heroes in movies and videogames, it would sound pretty logical if Ubisoft were to present their own take on the genre come next week.
