It's been rumoured for a while now, but information leaked by EA has further increased speculation surrounding Battlefield Hardline, a police vs thieves shooter based in the Battlefield franchise.

The SWAT-themed team shooter is reportedly under development at Visceral Games (Dead Space), with Ghost Games also apparently helping out.

On top of the self-explanatory logo above, Battlefield Daily also has additional logos and/or icons, including faction emblems. On top of that Getblog has a list of platform specific icons, pointing to a release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC (taken from the latest Battlelog update).

More details have appeared, in the form of different character classes (Enforcer, Mechanic, Operator, Professional), a map called Downtown has been mentioned, and there's a welcome message for those signing up to the game's beta.

With E3 looming around the corner, if Battlefield Hardline is in the works (and it most certainly looks like it is), expect to hear more from EA during this year's show, maybe even sooner. Given there's a space in the publisher's line-up for a shooter later this year, we're expecting to hear more in the very near future.
