Despite having only just launched the PlayStation 4 last November, it seems that Sony are already tinkering away on a redesign. There's nothing concrete just yet, but a certification request made by the electronics manufacturer points to a possible new PS4 model.

As spotted by DualShockers, in an official listing on the site of the Directorate of General Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology for the Republic of Indonesia, Sony are asking for certification for a new "Computer Entertainment System", one that carries a similar model number to PS4.

Reminiscent make and model numbers CUH-1006A (the current PS4 model in Asia) and CUH-1106A (the listing), point to a possible upgrade in the works. The precedent for this is the PS3 slim (CECH-2001A) and super slim (CECH-4001A), with model numbers getting single digit increases.

The report also points to a second post that suggests a new PlayStation 3 SKU might also be in the works, a possible announcement suggested for next month's E3. Of course there's no official word from Sony, but we'll be keeping an eye out next month for possible confirmation of these two new models.
