PC gaming and controllers might not sound like the most perfect of matches, but Alienware is looking to disprove that idea with its Project Nyx controller. Looking like the best of both Xbox and PlayStation's controllers with a bit of the Steam controller mixed in, Project Nyx impresses right away.
TechRadar got a closer look at the Project Nyx controller, which is designed to work with Concept Nyx, an idea Alienware had to allow gamers to play on their PC titles from anywhere in the house, without going through the trauma of hooking up a desktop or laptop to the TV.
The idea is that with the fingerprint sensor on the controller that you'd be able to walk into a room where a TV has the Nyx app installed, turn on the controller and boom! You've got your whole gaming library ready to go.
Currently, we don't know if we'll ever see the Project Nyx controllers released to the market, as Alienware has reaffirmed everything to do with Nyx right now is in the concept phase. This is perhaps just a dream of what gaming could look like somewhere down the line.
