In an extraordinary turn of events, it seems that both the PlayStation 4 and the newest Xbox console will be shown at this years E3 show. Microsoft and Sony will go head to head and demonstrate their new tech at the LA show in June.
Alongside these big reveals will also be the launch details for Nintendo's Wii U, making this the most exciting show in the events 17 year history, with all three of the major console manufacturers demonstrating their latest hardware.
The report by MCV suggests that Microsoft have decided now is the time to showcase their next generation machine. Sony will be desperate to ensure that their next console doesn't suffer the same slow start that the PS3 did and that this time they can keep pace with Microsoft.
There are likely to be few concrete details revealed when Microsoft and Sony take to the stage at E3 in June, but that wont stop the excitement from building as both companies look to steal some of Nintendo's thunder as they are expected to announce their pre-Christmas launch date for the Wii U.
