According to a new report, Ridley Scott and David Zucker (the president of Scott Free TV) are on board to executive produce an upcoming Halo digital feature project in collaboration with 343 Industries and Xbox Entertainment.
The report on TheWrap says that longtime Spielberg collaborator Sergio Mimica-Gezzan is set to direct the project, and that the three companies are eying Paul Scheuring to write the project. Then - here's the interesting part - they say that the project is "is completely different than the TV series that Steven Spielberg is producing for Xbox One".
A source close to the site in question also told them that this series would follow a similar format to Forward Unto Dawn (which launched around the same time as Halo 4), and that the story would follow a Spartan, but not Master Chief: "the story is set in the 26th century and follows a surgically-enhanced super soldier who is not Master Chief."
The other series in question, which was announced last year, is being produced by Spielberg for Xbox One and it looks like it'll be directed by Neil Blomkamp. More details when we have them, but don't expect much before E3.
