A series of weird passive-aggressive "jokes" tweeted by the official Frostbite feed.

Yesterday, brough a lot of April Fools' Day jokes, but some were... not as cute as others.

The official Frostbite Twitter feed, posted a series of tweets that were quickly deleted. However, Kotaku were quick to copy and save them:

"Frostbite now runs on the #WiiU since it is the most powerful Gen4 platform, our renderer is now optimized for Mario and Zelda."

"Frostbite will power #HalfLife3, coming out summer 2014! #WiiU exclusive."

"Good news, we have finally fixed and optimized our 'netcode'. Uses quantum entanglement for Zero Latency connections. Exclusively on #WiiU."

Now, we kind of get the feeling that Nintendo fans have taken out some aggressions on the Frostbite Engine team (who have very little to do with the company-wide policy not to support Wii U), and perhaps this was just a member of the team having a bad day.

EA boss Peter Moore didn't take kindly to the Nintendo bashing, however and tweeted:

"Our apologies to partners @NintendoAmerica & fan @FrostbiteEngine 's poor attempt at April Fools not condoned by EA : unacceptable/ stupid."

Ouch. We think that perhaps the @FrostbiteEngine twitter feed is being handled by somewhat at EA's public relations office from now on. The Frostbite team, responsible for the engine that powers most of EA's upcoming non-sports titles recently "broke off" from the main DICE offices and now have their own locales in Stockholm, Sweden.
