Ubisoft have officially announced Assassin's Creed: Unity, the PC/PS4/Xbox One title that's set for release this fall, but there is also Assassin's Creed: Comet the rumoured companion game for PS3 and Xbox 360.

French site GameBlog first reported details, that were later corroborated by Kotaku. The basic premise seems to be a direct sequel to the events in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag as players will step into the shoes of a Templar, Shay who's also a sailor. The game is said to start in 1758 in New York and characters like Assassin's Creed III's Haytham Kenway and Black Flag's Adewalé are said to feature in the story.

We expect Ubisoft to reveal more details about Assassin's Creed: Unity and Assassin's Creed: Comet in the near future, so stay tuned.

A companion in Black Flag and star of Freedom Cry, Adewalé is said to feature in Assassin's Creed: Comet.
