Electronic Arts have announced that they will not pursue their intent to buy Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive. After EA's fifth extension of their hostile bid expired in August, the two companies entered into discussions. EA got to see the books and the publishers software plans for the next three years, but decided against going through with a deal. EA calims they feel that the value of the purchase would decrease with time, while Take-Two claim that EA undervalued the company in their bids. The last word on Take-Two's future has not been said, as Take-Two are still in talks with other parties regarding their future.
