Star Citizen has so far managed to raise an incredible $40 million in crowdfunding.
The space-sim, which is being created by industry veteran Chris Roberts and his team, is rapidly expanding in scope as more funds are put up by the community (this latest milestone ensure another two star systems will be added).
Beta and alpha access for the game starts at $40 (details here), and packages go all the way up to Constellation that weighs in at $275 and includes a lot of goodies.
