Driveclub "back to the drawing board"

But does recent comment hint at a further delay or is it merely the original delay that's referenced.

Evolution Studios' Driveclub was originally meant to be a PlayStation 4 launch title, but in the weeks leading up to release it was pushed back to an undisclosed date early in 2014. Now we're deep in March with no official date and in a recent interview with IGN Sony's Scott Rohde said:

"What I will say is that it all comes back to that fundamental principle, and that's that we want to build great games. And we really don't want to release a game before it's ready. And sometimes, this happens in the normal course of business, where we think we're on track to deliver what we think is going to be a great game, and when we get closer, we realize that we'd be doing everyone a disservice if we shipped it before it was ready."

"So, I think that at PlayStation, perhaps more than at other places, we're willing to kinda eat that [cost] and go back to the drawing board and make sure the game is great before we ship it. And that's what's going on right now with that game."

Now a lot of outlets has jumped on this speculating that the game could be pushed into 2015 and if indeed it's back to the drawing board now that would likely be the case, but it's hard to tell whether the comments made by Rohde refers to the decision made around the time of the original delay or something that happened subsequently. Whatever the case may be we'll hopefully have official word on the status of Driveclub soon.
