Eutechnyx yesterday revealed more details regarding Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance, an upcoming lane strategy game (think 40K meets Plants vs. Zombies) set in the enduring Games Workshop sci-fi universe.
Players will control either Space Marines or Orks (with a third faction - Imperial Guard - to be available as 69p DLC on launch day) and attempt to capture each other's bases by battling it out across five lanes, with base building, resource management, customisable units, special powers and a "large" skill tree. There'll be 50+ campaign missions and the story will be based on the book ‘Purging of Kadillus' by Gav Thorpe.
Other key features includes cross-platform play, a selection of units and environments (3 environments, 5 vehicles, 5 buildings, 9 units, and more than 20 weapons), and DLC planned for launch and the future. A beta for the game is set to start tomorrow (February 27) and the full game will release on Steam (£6.99) and iOS/Android (£2.99) on March 27.
