We can all go to this year's World Cup in Brazil this summer, digitally at least, after EA confirmed that they're once again releasing a licensed game based on the four-yearly football tournament.
The game, which is set to land in Europe on April 17, will only appear on Xbox 360 and PS3, and so won't be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC or Wii U.
According to the press release we can expect "multiple innovations and improvements to the award-winning gameplay" of FIFA 14. Here's the official spiel:
From the ability to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction quickly on and off the ball with Explosive Movement, to the new World Class Control feature that uses Response Dribbling and Pinpoint Passing, fans will feel the athleticism and skill of their national football heroes. And one hundred new animations, including passing, saves, and penalty kicks, help play on the pitch explode with the drama and unpredictably of the official tournament.
The game, which once again carries the official FIFA license, will have 203 national teams, 7469 players, 19 managers, and 21 new stadiums (including the official stadiums in Brazil). There's to be a ‘Road to the FIFA World Cup' mode where players can take a team of their choice to the World Cup Finals, while online mode ‘Road to Rio de Janeiro' allows players the chance to win their way across in each Brazil's 12 stadiums.
