Skyrim climbs to the summit

Call of Duty drops down to third.

Through a combination of awesomeness and aggressive pricing, Skyrim has claimed first place in the sales charts for the week ending on December 17.

Bethesda's dragon slaying epic has marched past the enduringly popular Modern Warfare 3 and taken the top spot in the run up to Christmas.

Just Dance 3 has boogied on up to second place, ahead of Activision's shooter. FIFA 12 and Saints Row: The Third made up the rest of the top five.
