Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has gone on record and said that Microsoft are aware of discrepancies between digital and retail pricing, and that competitive pricing for digital titles is "on the agenda".
In a Reddit discussion there were murmurs of discontent among gamers unable to take advantage of a special offer open to retail customers who pre-order Titanfall. Those who pre-order at retail will get a $10 discount, but because you can't currently pre-order digital releases, those who download won't be able to take advantage of the price cut.
At this point Major Nelson waded into the discussion, saying: "We are way aware of this and many of the concerns of the community. We have some great stuff planned for Xbox One this year (and beyond). As soon as we can share some of the goodness, we will."
He was then asked whether the company's plans included more competitive pricing for digital downloads. "It is indeed on the agenda," he replied.
