There has been plenty of people complaining about the battery life of DualShock 4, with another issue that people find annoying being the added lightbar feature that can't be turned off.
Some report that it's distracting when it reflects off of the television, others call it an unnessesary drain on the battery, but most people agree that it'd be nice to be able to turn it off if desired, especially if there's a link between the LED light and the short battery life of the controller.
When recently asked on Twitter whether this would be a possibility in a future update, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida simply replied "No", before later defending its inclusion and saying that "the LEDs do not use much battery".
