A new piece of concept art has surfaced for Halo 5, alongside an update on how the development of the game is coming along.

The art was attached to a recent blog post on Halo: Waypoint by Josh Holmes, who recently took up a new role as executive producer. The new EP detailed some of the changes going on behind the scenes at 343 Industries, as well as revealing more Halo 5 news was coming in "the not-so-distant future".

First of all, and perhaps most notably, former LucasArts man Tim Longo has come on board as Halo 5's new creative director (which allowed Holmes to move from that role to that of executive producer).

Halo 4 executive producer, Kiki Wolfkill, is "developing exciting new stories, experiences and technologies that will transform the way that you experience Halo". Apparently there'll be more to share on that at a later date, "but I can promise that what she is working on is really cool."

Lastly, the departure of art director Kenneth Scott was explained, and we were introduced to his successor, Nicolas "Sparth" Bouvier. Which brings us nicely to the piece of concept art that was included with the update, which was created by the new AD. According to the blog post, the art focuses on "a new location that features prominently" in Halo 5.
