After a well-stocked launch line-up of titles appearing on Xbox One, there's been a slow dribble of new content with the appearance of Peggle 2 being the only release of any real note. It seems that is about to change, with more indie games heading to the platform early next year.

ID@Xbox's director Chris Charla told Edge that the first round of indie titles from the ID@Xbox scheme should arrive on Xbox One around the end of Q1, 2014: "I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months. I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it's hard to say, because they're still in development."

Charla told the same site that development on many of the games from the scheme - an independent developers publishing platform - had been ongoing for "months". He explained that: "some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions. I would say they're at all stages of development, honestly."
