After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter (£1,578,316 amassed) Frontier Developments have now opened up for some additional funding by selling alpha access. It should be noted that private alpha access was only available to those pledging £200 or more in the Kickstarter campaign so clearly the price is there in order to ensure the backers don't feel shortchanged. Nevertheless £200 is more than half way towards a PlayStation 4. Alpha access naturally also unlocks access to the subsequent beta phase and ultimately the full game upon release.
