Blade Hunter is a beat 'em up MMORPG

Two genres collide as title prepares for alpha.

Blade Hunter, an upcoming beat ‘em up MMORPG, is about to roll into alpha. Reality Squared Games are open to applications from interested parties (details on how to sign up can be found here).

The game fuses fairly standard MMORPG tropes with classic beat ‘em up action for something that certainly looks a little different. Players will be adventuring around a fantasy world as one of three different classes (Knight, Rogue, and Valkyrie), teaming up with others, or fighting solo against an array of enemies using combat mechanics that'll be familiar to many. We're also being promised time-limited multiplayer events and ranked cross-server PvP. The alpha testing starts on December 12, 10.00 am EST.
