It's been a busy day at the news desk, with several big announcements landing over the weekend.

What will be major news for Halo fans out there (and there's a few of you) is the announcement of a release date for Destiny. You can also pull a sad face after a delay for the beta was also confirmed.

In a story that'll warm your heart (or leave you fuming), a gamer who was scammed and spent £450 on a picture of an Xbox One has been given a console by a local retailer who took pity on him after his story went viral.

Several games were confirmed/shown off at this year's VGX. The standout title is probably No Man's Sky from Hello Games, but we should also mention next-gen Tomb Raider, new Quantum Break details, plus cracking trailers for Titanfall, The Division, and The Witcher 3.

There was also a brace of Telltale announcements from the event. The first being an episodic Game of Thrones adaptation, the second being a collaboration between the studio and Gearbox called Tales from the Borderlands.

We've measured up two of the most beautiful video games ever made, in our Graphics Battle between Crysis 3 and Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Call of Duty: Ghosts remains atop the UK charts this week, after Gran Turismo 6 only just scraped into the top ten.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been given a release date, we've also got a new trailer and some quotes from Kojima.

We discussed seamless cross-play between PlayStation platforms with Helldivers developers Arrowhead Game Studios.

The Fallout 4 countdown hoax has been explained away. Needless to say, there's plenty of people who are very angry with DCHoaxer after they got our collective hopes up.

Peggle 2 is out now on Xbox One. Wil Wheaton and Elijah Wood have joined the cast of Broken Age. The Xbox One version of Halo: Spartan Assault is coming this month. Multiplayer DLC for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has been detailed.

And finally, a competition. Are you a dab hand at Resogun on PlayStation 4? If so, you really need to enter our competition for some exclusive artwork. Head this way for more details.
