For fans of spy fiction and international intrigue, an interesting new game has just been announced by Danish indie studio Logic Artists. Clandestine is a co-op game that puts players in a team whereby one controls the field agent, while another plays as a hacker overseeing the mission.
The story is set in the mid-90's, with former Cold War operatives being murdered in mysterious circumstances. Players must visit a variety of locations (underground tunnels in Vienna and secret NSA bunkers in Washington were mentioned in the press release), using stealth and tactics to navigate their way through the adventure.
"After our success with our debut release Expeditions: Conquistador, we wanted to create a new kind of play experience based on our love for tactical stealth games", said producer Ali Emek. "With the addition of asymmetrical co-op gameplay between the field agent and hacker, Clandestine gives a unique spin to this genre. Set during the ‘90s, we have worked hard to recreate the feel and atmosphere of the decade in the game, and we are excited to see how players react to this iconic time in technological development".
Clandestine is due to debut on PC, sometime in 2014.
