Still no console release in sight as clock ticks away.

As we reported yesterday, there's a new Steam Reviews feature on Valve's digital platform. Although it's still in beta, it's already being used by the community, with scathing customer feedback causing 505 Games (or possibly Valve) to pull Ashes Cricket 2013 from the digital store.

It has been suggested by Videogamer that the game has failed console certification on at least one occasion, and as yet there's no release date for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U versions of the sports title.

505 better get a move on. The title was originally planned to release during the first Ashes series earlier this year, but was delayed until this second series (the first Test of which just ended). If the game was removed from sale because of its poor reception, and there's no console version in sight, there's every chance that Ashes Cricket 2013 might not get released in time to capitalise on the sporting event it's based on, and would therefore miss out on the most lucrative period of sales.
