Following on from our first glimpse of the prototype Steam Machine yesterday, we've now got details regarding specs and price for the living room PC being designed by iBuyPower.
According to The Verge, the Steam Machine will go on sale for $499 - the same as an Xbox One - and will be on the market sometime next year. For that kind of investment you'll get an AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card and a multicore AMD CPU.
On top of that Wi-Fi comes as standard, as does Bluetooth and a 500GB hard drive, and the computer will come complete with a Steam Controller. The power supply will be housed inside the casing, and the light bar that runs around the unit will be customisable. It will come pre-loaded with SteamOS, and the manufacturers are claiming that all existing SteamOS games run at 1080p and at 60 frames per second.
