Resident Evil 5 is off to a great start in Japan selling almost 400,000 copies in the first week. No surprise as most units shifted on Playstation 3 and the game also helped elevate PS3 sales for the week up to second place overall behind the DSi. With Yakuza 3 and Resident Evil 5 the last few weeks have been very strong for PS3 in Japan. It will be interesting to see if the momentum can be maintained.
