Xbox One close to Wii U's lifetime UK sales

Microsoft's next-gen console does in two days what Nintendo's does in nearly a year.

According to reports, Xbox One sold around 150,000 units in the UK in just 48 hours. Xbox 360 sold 70,000 units in the same time period, and Chart-Track states that Xbox One has sold more than double that figure. MCV states that they've heard the figure might even be slightly higher.

What's most astonishing is the fact that after just a few days on sale, Xbox One is already closing in on Wii U's lifetime sales here in the UK. Given that Wii U launched almost a year ago and has failed to gain significant traction, and with the PlayStation 4 releasing at the end of this week, the future doesn't look promising for Nintendo's latest home console.
