Papers, Please is a pixel-art puzzle game by Lucas Pope released back in August 2013. You can read Gamereactor's review here if you'd like know more about the bureaucratic thriller, which focuses on a border crossing immigration officer in a fictional Eastern Bloc country of Arstotzka, which has been at odds with its neighbours for some time.
Now, almost four years since it was released, Papers, Please has gotten a cinematic adaptation in the form of a short film. It can be viewed either on YouTube or on Steam. The spoken language is Russian, but multiple subtitles are available at least on Youtube. This short film was written by Nikita Ordynskiy, Liliya Tkach, and Lucas Pope, produced by Liliya Tkach, and directed by Nikita Ordynskiy.
