PandaBall is "a social game to have fun for casual gamers"

We spoke with Morten Madsen, producer behind PandaBall at this year's Gamescom.

During our time at Gamescom, we happened across several interesting titles, one of which that caught our attention was PandaBall, a casual football game developed by GetAGame. We spoke with Morten Madsen, producer on the title to get a deeper look into the game, where he introduced us into the concept behind PandaBall.

"PandaBall is a game about Pandas playing football" said Madsen. "It's crazy and it's in the jungle. There's lots of different balls and power-ups but it's a social game to have fun for casual gamers."

"It's set on an island in the middle of nowhere. It's the panda's community, they live here, and they thrive here, and they just live their lives, playing football as a fun activity. You can join in on the fun."

We later asked Madsen about how PandaBall is played, he responded saying, "It's a 1v1 in the first version, we're going for 2v2 and maybe 3v3 in the later stages but right now it's a 1v1, online and local."

PandaBall is currently planning for a November release on PS4, with the potential to bring it to other platforms.

Do you plan on showing off your Panda football skills when PandaBall launches?
