Overwatch League commissioner Nate Nanzer leaves Blizzard

The Overwatch League is losing its commissioner Nate Nanzer to Epic Games' Fortnite.

Nate Nanzer, the commissioner of Blizzard's Overwatch League is leaving Blizzard to work on Epic Games' successful battle royale game Fortnite, Nanzer himself announced on Twitter recently in a heartfelt thread.

"Hey Overwatch League family. I wanted to share that soon I will be leaving Blizzard for a new opportunity. This has been the toughest decision of my life, because it means I won't get to work with the best staff, players, teams, owners, partners, and fans in esports anymore."

Having worked for Blizzard since 2014, Nanzer stated he didn't make the decision lightly, but that he's "confident the league is in great hands" upon him leaving.
