Over 7 million Trine games sold

The Finnish developer Frozenbyte has had a tremendous success with their both Trine games (including special editions and bundles) and now the have officially announced that they've reached more than 7 million sold games.

To celebrate this, the Trine games on Steam will have a free weekend with a whopping 80% discount if you decide to buy. The studio has also released their own developer tools to let fans make their own stages to keep the games fresh. CEO of Frozenbyte Lauri Hyvärinen says in the pressrelease:

"We've reached a higher userbase than we ever thought possible, but now we hope that people who've yet to play the Trine games will give them a shot during the Free Weekend on Steam. Opening up the games to user generated content is something we've wanted to do for a long time, and we're thrilled to see what people can come up with using the Editors."
