Origen may have had a slow start this season, but the team has still managed to secure back-to-back grand final appearances in the European LCS.
xPeke's crew managed to beat H2k, who finished regular season play in second place, in a back and forth series that saw the two teams trading wins.
As Origen was trailing 1-2 and PowerOfEvil couldn't get his game going, xPeke subbed in for him in game 4, letting the team's starting midlaner take a break and watch the game from afar. Origen's superior execution and discipline won them game 4, and with a rejuvinated PowerOfEvil returning for game 5, the team finished the series by turning small advantages into strong pushes.
G2 Esports and Fnatic split the first two games between them, but after that the series belonged entirely to G2. Their risky and chaotic team fight playstyle payed off, winning the team fights and keeping Fnatic from sufficiently punishing misplays.
That means Origen will take on G2.Esports in the EU LCS playoff finals in Rotterdam on Sunday at 14:00 BST / 15:00 CEST. H2k and Fnatic will play the third place decider match on Saturday, also at 14:00 BST / 15:00 CEST.
