If you're a fan of Gears of War's esports scene then you'll know the name OpTic Gaming pretty well, since they're a force to be reckoned with and have enjoyed a lot of success when it comes to Gears.
Now OG has once again proven why they're the best in the business with a win at the Gears Pro Circuit San Diego open competition, where they took on Ghost Gaming in the grand finals of the competition, with the victory nabbing them a cool $100,000 USD in prize money.
Ghost Gaming had already lost to OG in the winners final (2-0) which saw them drop into the losers bracket, and there they had to edge out Spacestation in a tight match (2-1) to make it back into the grand final. Sadly for them, it was just a case of history repeating as OpTic Gaming dominated in the final, with the challengers still yet to beat their opposition in competitive LAN Gears of War.
Can OpTic continue to dominate?
