Onrush is having a public beta from May 17

Codemasters and Koch Media have today announced that an open beta for their arcade racer Onrush will be running from 14:00 BST on May 17 through until 10:00 BST on May 21, with the test part of their preparations for the full launch on June 5 (although those who pre-order on PS4 will get early access from May 15).

The beta will include an interactive tutorial, Superstar Practice, and multiplayer, the latter of which will feature 6v6 events over two tracks (Big Dune Beach and Crater Lake); two game modes (Overdrive and Countdown); and four vehicle classes (Blade, Vortex, Interceptor, and Titan). What's more is that in solo you can also use Photo Mode to capture some shots of the action.

Early access will also be granted from May 15 to those who pre-order from Game, Amazon, Tesco, and Smyths Toys, so it's worth considering where you buy the game from. Are you itching to get stuck in?
