Finnish game developer Cornfox & Brothers has been working on Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm for some time now. The game is a sequel to 2013's Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, which is a quite decent Zelda clone released on pretty much every gaming platform there is.
Now the developers have shown a new trailer for GDC 18, revealing a demo which is playable for people attending the conference in San Francisco right now.
Arcadia is in peril as an evil wizard called Mesmeroth has returned with a Dark Army. Now it's up to three brave Knights of Arcadia solve the issue. The sequel looks very different compared to the original game. In Oceanhorn 2, the environments look bigger, but they are as colourful as they were in the original. The protagonist is much bigger in size, so the gameplay is much more of a "traditional" third-person action game. In fact, the game looks a lot like Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You even get to play with a Grappling Hook, just like in Zelda games.
What do you think? Could Oceanhorn 2 challenge the source of its inspiration?
