Several members of the Xbox team have said that there really is no limit on how much spending their new studios are allowed, and that they expect them to grow bigger. It seems one developer has expanded too, this being Obsidian Entertainment, who is currently working on The Outer Worlds.
On their LinkedIn page we can see that they have reached yet another milestone, accumulating 200 employees. Before Microsoft bought them last year, there were 170 people in the company.
And they are still growing too, as Obsidian's job listings on their home page display around 15 ads posted, like a Lead Narrative Designer, Area Designer, VFX Artist, and a Social Media Manager, to name a few.
The Outer Worlds will be released for other formats as well, since Private Division is the distributor, a deal that was made before Microsoft bought the company. We recently got to play it, and you can check out our impressions in our preview.
