NRG Esports professional Fortnite player Williams "Zayt" Aubin has announced his retirement from competitive play. The decorated individual has stated that he will be stepping away from the limelight on the active roster, but will be transitioning to being a coach and content creator for the organisation.

Zayt has been part of the NRG Esports line-up for years now, and over that course has achieved various victories across several different competitive Fortnite tournaments. This retirement however, whilst quite unexpected comes shortly after Epic Games detailed the smaller prize pools for Fortnite esports over 2021, which could be a determining factor as to why notable names are stepping away.

As mentioned previously, Zayt will remain with NRG for the future, just as a coach for its Fortnite team, as well as a content creator for the brand, however we won't be seeing him compete in tournaments anymore.
