Team Ninja and Sony have announced Nioh 2's release date, the highly anticipated prequel to the popular game released in February 2017. As it turns out, we'll return to explore the world of ancient Japan on March 13, 2020, exclusively on PlayStation 4.

Nioh 2 includes some new game mechanics, starting with the online cooperative mode for up to three players, as well as an improved combat system compared to the first game. In addition to revealing Nioh 2's launch date, Team Ninja and Sony confirmed that an open beta test will start soon, scheduled for tomorrow (November 1st) until November 10th. At this stage, players can try the new cooperative mode for three players, facing a new Yokai inside the Sunomata Castle.
