Black Friday has been and gone, with all the sales dying down and all the discounts bought by those who wanted them, but who came out on top when it comes to sales in the US? That's what CNN Business has broken down.
The Nintendo Switch seems to have been the victor, with the console itself being among the most popular items last Friday, according to analysts. This is due to bundles offered by Nintendo, and Wedbush Securities analysts said that the good response was "likely a reflection of the competition feeling a bit long-in-the-tooth," since the PS5 and Project Scarlett are both on the way.
In terms of games, Wedbush says that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the winner here, with FIFA, Madden NFL, and NBA 2K20 having boosted sales too.
Apple's AirPods Pro sold well too, with over three million estimated to have been sold over the weekend and 15 million projected to be sold this month alone. There may even be shortages later in December, as predicted by Wedbush's Daniel Ives.
FitBit, Logitech non-gaming keyboards, and Roku devices were also predicted to have sold well, and Americans spent $7.4 billion USD on Black Friday alone, falling to $4.2 billion on Thanksgiving Day, according to Adobe Analytics.
