Are you one of those people who enjoys the smell of a fresh game after opening the box? It may sound weird, but well, there are lots of eager sniffers out there it would seem.

And perhaps some even go as far as tasting their new games? If you belong to this group, pay attention because this is worth knowing if you're going to buy a Nintendo Switch sooner or later.

Nintendo has decided to put a super bittering agent into the Switch cartridges to avoid children eating or suffocating on them. Jeff Gerstmann, from Giantbomb decide to taste one and told the world about it on Twitter. After that, Mike Fahey from Kotaku did the same experiment with the very same results.

So he decided to ask Nintendo what are this cartridges made of and why. "To avoid the possibility of accidental ingestion, keep the game card away from young children. A bittering agent (Denatonium Benzoate) has also been applied to the game card. This bittering agent is non-toxic", was the answer.

This almost sounds like a dare, doesn't it?
