E3 is taking place next month, and Nintendo has revealed its plans for the Los Angeles event, featuring a Nintendo Direct presentation on June 11 as well as Nintendo Treehouse: Live to discuss all of the games featured at the show. Of course there will also be Switch games at the booth too, so fans in LA can play games in person.
"We're starting with some heated competitions and delivering new content the whole week," said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. "Whether people are attending the show in person or watching from home, our goal is to provide them with the best possible Nintendo experience."
The Nintendo Direct starts at 09:00 PT (17:00 BST, 18:00 CEST) on June 11 and can be watched right here. This presentation focuses solely on software, and the games shown will launch in 2019. After that the Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream will go deeper into some of these games, and again you can watch these at the link above.
A Warp Pipe Pass is available for those attending the event, letting them gain priority access in line during their designated time to play, with a Nintendo account required to sign up and receive one. More details on this pass are coming later.
Elsewhere we also have tournaments for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2, both of which are happening on June 8 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. The line for entry opens at 08:00 local time, and doors open at 10:00 ready for competitions to start at 11:00.
